VOICE RECOGNITION
| Items are not being recognized when I say them. |
- Cause: The microphone settings not adjusted correctly.
- Solution: Select a different mic setting from the setup menu.

- Cause: Voice recognition needs additional training.
- Solution: If it is in the booklet and the unit fails to recognize it, you can train Smartshopper using your own voice.

- Cause: Items are not in the Smartshopper library.
- Solution: Add a custom item to the SmartShopper library.

PRINTING ISSUES
| The list is very light or difficult to read. |
|
| The list will not print or it is blank. |
- Cause: There is a paper jam
- Solution: Remove and reinsert paper roll.

- Cause: The paper is inserted incorrectly
- Solution: Remove paper roll, flip paper, reinsert roll.

DEVICE MALFUNCTION
| The screen is always blank. |
- Cause: The batteries are dead.
- Solution: Replace the batteries with new ones.

- Cause: The batteries not inserted correctly.
- Solution: Remove and re-insert the batteries.

| The screen appears to be "frozen" |
- Cause: The unit is locked up.
- Solution: Re-set by pressing the down arrow and the help button at the same time. If the unit is still locked up, Remove the batteries, wait 3 minutes and re-insert them. This will re-set your unit without losing any stored information.

OTHER ISSUES
| The magnets won't stick to my refrigerator |
- Cause: Your refrigerator is stainless steel or another non-magnetic material.
- Solution: Use wall mounting kit instead.
